For those looking to get into the UK through a Tir 2 visa, you should note that are a few changes to the eligibility criteria in regards to the appropriate salary criterion. You will be delighted to see that all the salary figures have been lowered. These changes will come into force on the 30th March 2019.
What are the changes?
Previously, you would need to have been paid a minimum salary of ÂŁ30,000 per year or the âappropriate rateâ for the job youâre offered (whichever is higher). You can check here for the appropriate rate for the job youâve been offered.
So as of 30th March 2019, the changes will include;
- A change in the salary rates-Â check here to see how you will be affected.Â
- This guidance demonstrates occupations where you can be paid less â for example if you will work in the UK as:
- A medical radiographer,
- A nurse,
- A paramedic,
- A pre-registration nurse or midwife
- A secondary school teacher (depending on which subject).
